[연구실 소개]

주택도시연구실(the Housing and Urban Affairs Lab, HUAL)
본 연구실은 주택 및 도시 현안을 심층논의하고, 그 해결 방안 모색을 위해 통합적인 접근과 논리적 사고에 기반하여 교육과 연구를 수행함으로써 다양한 학문, 종합적인 지식, 학제 간 탐구를 결합하여 응용 모델과 창의적 전략을 모색한다. HUAL은 주택 및 도시 제측면에 영향을 미치는 거시적 및 미시ㅁ적 환경 요소와 그 상호연관성을 이해하고, 특히, 정치, 경제, 사회, 문화, 제도적 맥락에 따른 주택 시스템의 구조와 역동성을 파악하며, 인구 및 가구 변화와 주택 및 도시현상을 체계적으로 분석한다. 또한, 글로벌 시대의 국경 간, 문화 간 또는 대륙 간 정주환경의 발달특성과 변화요인을 비교하고 분석하여 글로컬 (glocal)한 컨텐츠와 해결방안을 제시한다.HUAL은 글로벌 리더쉽을 함양하고 감성, 이성, 지성이 결합된 창의적인 인재양성을 목표로 한다. 이를 위해 HUAL에서는 주택정책및 주택시장 간의 메카니즘 속에서 주택금융, 주택개발 및 공급, 주택 소비 및 배분, 주거 복지 및 관리, 도시 개발 및 계획, 도시성장 및 관리, 커뮤니티 활성화와 지속 가능성 등의 연구를 수행한다. 아울러 국내 교육프로그램 뿐만아니라 해외 유수대학들과의 학술적 네트워크와 교류를 통해 학문과 문화의 연계를 추구함으로써 통합적인 시각, 융합적 사고, 과학적 통찰력을 배양하도록 지향한다. HUAL 연구원들은 공공기관, 비영리단체, 민간업체 등 주택 및 도시관련분야에서 전문가로 활약 할 수 있게 된다.

About HUAL
The Housing and Urban Affairs Lab (HUAL) provides various opportunities for interdisciplinary approaches to housing and urban studies, and many innovative initiatives on education and research have been designed to engage scholars and professionals in collaboration. In addition to the provision of international education programs, HUAL addresses a wide array of distinctive research on housing and urban changes in comparative contexts. Specifically, HUAL deals with household transitions, housing transformations and urban issues in the global society, and it concerns urban housing affairs in political economy, socio-cultural mechanisms, and other institutional/environmental dimensions. With the strong commitment to multidisciplinary and creative activities, HUAL explores urban dynamics related to housing system, public policy, and labor market that affect the behavioral choices and outcomes of stakeholders/actors in housing production/ development, finance, consumption/distribution, social services and management.
